Ladies and gentlemen, distinguished guests, and esteemed participants, Welcome to the 4th Congress of the Asian Pancreas and Islet Transplant Association (APITA)!

It is both a great pleasure and an honor to host this prestigious event, scheduled to be held from October 25th to October 27th, 2024, in the dynamic city of Shanghai.

Since its establishment by Professor Duck J. Han in August 2018, APITA has been at the forefront of promoting pancreas transplantation in the Asian region, advancing islet transplantation, facilitating the efficient sharing of organs, and managing data on pancreas transplantation. Building on the success of the 1st Congress in Seoul in 2019, the 2nd Congress in Nagoya in 2021, and the recent 3rd Congress in Taipei in 2023, we are excited to continue this tradition of excellence and innovation.

The 4th Congress of APITA promises to be an extraordinary journey. We will once again come together, driven by our relentless pursuit of greatness and our unwavering dedication to shaping a better future. This gathering is a unique opportunity to ignite our minds, celebrate the power of creativity, and embrace the spirit of resilience that propels us forward.
